The Ontario Anime Society is an organisation which promotes unity in a provincial spectrum. We're a collective of talented artists and performers, and look to become the largest hobby-based network of businesses and resources in the near future.

History
The Ontario Anime Society (OAS) was created as a joint venture between Boxed Rice Productions (BRP) and East & West Gaijin (EWG) studios. Both were heavily influenced by their experiences working together as a co-operative group and felt it was in their best interest to merge. Shortly after, other talented performers were brought into the fold and the OAS began to take shape.
Their performance at Anime North titled "The Time Warp 2.0" had won them several accolades from both the competition organisers and the audience, giving the new group the motivation to branch out. The show had taken all of their efforts and talents, from dancing to prop work and costuming to pull off. Soon there was a great hustle and discussion regarding what would come next.
With the OAS cemented as a singular group, plans were made. The Business Division would handle the marketing and production of for-sale products such as the group's upcoming doujinshi and merchandise related to certain productions. Performance would work under a forthcoming imprint as its own kind of entity, working not only to promote the group as a whole, but also to offer the various performers their creative outlet. Shows such as those being created via viral video and podcasts would also serve in this capacity. Lastly, the group wished to be of service to the community, and an old idea came to light.
Some years ago there had been a website called Anipike. While Anipike still exists, it's not even a shadow of its original form, a site where an anime fan could find any information they were looking for. It was well-maintained and simple to navigate. The OAS intends to restore such a service, under a section called "The List". In addition, an online radio station exists called Radio+ managed by DJ AJ Kool, and serves as a free source of excellent music to all j-pop and j-rock music fans on the internet.
